On the left we have two medium (3 x 4 foot) canvases. I've primed them with gesso and let it dry. My ideas at this point are to allow the two canvases to be one piece of art, but still work independently as paintings. I'm thinking of making the predominant colours green and purples. So, I have painted the first layer in the complementary colours to those - red (pink) and yellow. Let's let this dry and work on a different piece for a while. (posted on 28 Nov 2012)
The first ArtSites.ca Workshop was held at Hope Bay Studio and attended by 15 island artists. Rochelle Grayson and Geoffrey Meredith, developers of ArtSites, put on an interesting presentation and supplied individual attention to make for an interesting and fun afternoon. Several artists now have their websites up and running. Many thanks to Rochelle and Geoff. (posted on 15 Aug 2012)
