Studio gravel

The shed to studio renovation has progressed substantially. Lisa and Tyler have put many hours over the last week. Drywall is in place. The doorway is framed. The French doors are ready to hang.

Also, the patio has been cleaned up. Gravel and sand are going in before the quartzite paving stones.

Thanks Lisa and Tyler :)

Studio with Shingles Studio patio

WOW, look at that; two large windows and new cedar shingles. Next will be staining. And, the covered outdoor space will have quartzite floor. The large green door will magically turn into French Doors, thanks to master builder, Lisa.

Shed with one window, outside Shed with one window, inside

The windows are going in and the light is getting better! The first vertical window is in. The second one will be in this week. Ideas for paintings are piling up. See you at the Studio Opening in the fall. Hugs, Eha

Shed Roof Repair Shed Interior

"The shed" is approximately 10 x 11 feet inside. It had been divided into three areas - a bathroom, sleeping bunks, and storage. We've now removed walls and plumbing fixtures. Lisa designed a beam system to replace the support that was previously provided by the walls. She can be seen repairing the roof in the exterior photo.

Don't worry about the small size of the 2 windows. We have several large windows donated by our good friends. Two will be used for French doors opening onto the covered area (on the left in the exterior view). Two others will be installed in the wall that is partially white in the photo. If all goes well, there will be plenty of light.

Liar Happy as the Grass is Green African Grey Parrot

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who attended the show on Friday, March 19, 2010. It was great fun to see many of you outside an office environment, meet spouses, talk about art & other things, and generally feel a sense of adventure from all. A special thanks to Emma and Sydney helping with things.

yART SALE ad

Thank you to everyone who attended our yART SALE on October 10, 2009. We enjoyed talking art and other things, having coffee, sharing homemade brownies, and getting some pieces cleaned out of the studio. Extra hugs to everyone who bought a piece of art.

The morning wind flapped the paintings around a bit, but the sun peaked out in the afternoon. No-one got hurt by items flung off the tables by gusts of wind. All in all, it was a good day.
