"The shed" is approximately 10 x 11 feet inside. It had been divided into three areas - a bathroom, sleeping bunks, and storage. We've now removed walls and plumbing fixtures. Lisa designed a beam system to replace the support that was previously provided by the walls. She can be seen repairing the roof in the exterior photo. Don't worry about the small size of the 2 windows. We have several large windows donated by our good friends. Two will be used for French doors opening onto the covered area (on the left in the exterior view). Two others will be installed in the wall that is partially white in the photo. If all goes well, there will be plenty of light. (posted on 21 Mar 2010)
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who attended the show on Friday, March 19, 2010. It was great fun to see many of you outside an office environment, meet spouses, talk about art & other things, and generally feel a sense of adventure from all. A special thanks to Emma and Sydney helping with things.

Thank you to everyone who attended our yART SALE on October 10, 2009. We enjoyed talking art and other things, having coffee, sharing homemade brownies, and getting some pieces cleaned out of the studio. Extra hugs to everyone who bought a piece of art. The morning wind flapped the paintings around a bit, but the sun peaked out in the afternoon. No-one got hurt by items flung off the tables by gusts of wind. All in all, it was a good day. The Colour of Music
Hugs to all that attended the opening night at Morning Bay Winery. The music that inspired the paintings was played, snacks and wine were served, and much festivating was done. The paintings will be on display at the Winery until early September 2009. The Winery is open Wed. - Sun. 10am - 5pm. A couple of photos of the inside of the shed. First step will be to clean out all the junk. This may take a while. (posted on 3 Feb 2009)
Watch for updates as the shed becomes transformed into a painting studio. |
